There's snow way...

Monday, November 8, 2010

Guys. It's snowing here. It started at 7am and it hasn't stopped all day. There is slush everywhere you look. I thought that the weather would turn around when I left the house this morning, so I wore my black flats with no socks. Yeah. Those are officially trashed.

I also fell walking across my crowded campus. My feet slipped forward and I ended up doing some 90's dance move to catch myself so my butt didn't hit the wet, gushy pavement. I screamed. Loudly.

"WHHHHHY???!!!"

A few heads turned, but no one really noticed. Probably because they though their inner thoughts were being vocalized by the universe. Nope. It was just me.

The good news is, I'm home now. I'm also sitting in my underwear wrapped in a blanked. I just finished a grilled cheese sandwich and chicken noodle soup Scott had waiting for me*

I have zero intention of ever going outside ever again.

My Monday was horrible. Which is why I'm glad today's day 9: a photo of your family.

Because these folks are the greatest. The blonde is not related to me, but she is the daughter of some good family friends. She represents the friends my family has made that are LIKE family to us. Aren't they the greatest bunch you've ever seen? I love them.

But I do not love snow. I hate it.

*not a vegan meal, but I couldn't help it. This is the first cheese dish I've had since October and it was GOOD.

  1. Both of our blogs were ranty today. Must have been the Monday. Or the snow. Or the combination. Either of those things on their own we can deal with, but not at the same time.

  2. We had our first "real" snow on October 29th! It was miserable. However, it hasn't come back yet. But when it did snow that day/night (nonstop) it stayed for the next day and the next because it was still so cold! But most of it is gone now, thank goodness! I hope not to see anymore of some time.

  3. We had grilled cheese and chicken soup today too! Only it was because we had a rainy day, no snow yet (thank heaven).

  6. Brandilyn- we just went and got the bread on the 30th so there was plenty waiting for me at midnight. Herb bread. Oh my gosh.

Also, I wouldn't mind if Christmas was in the fall.
