Hungry for more

Sunday, April 18, 2010

It's one in the morning and I just finished The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins in four hours.

The only question I have is what took me so long to read it!
(Actually, I've wanted to read it for a really long time, but it has over 70 holds at the Rexburg library and I've only been able to get my hands on it now that I'm in Boise and my family owns it.)

Seriously, a gritty eutopia, sci-fi novel with a splash of teen romance?!
I eat this stuff UP!
Better written than Twilight, it's not even a guiltly pleasure.

But like I said, it's one in the morning...
and I have the second book in The Hunger Games triology in my hands.

This is my 99th post.

  2. I was totally disturbed by that book, yet couldn't put it down. I actually liked Catching Fire better though. Tell me what you think when you've read that one too.

  4. I loved that series. I can't wait for the last book to come out, but alas, I too am subject to the hold lines at the library. maybe one day i'll have money and buy some of the books i like... there's an idea!

PS I think she should do another book after "the mocking jay" called "catching fiber" it could be a story about the lives of the older tributes - eh eh?

  6. Just finished the second one today. Phew! I think I liked the first one better, but the second was still good. Gotta save my money and buy all of them. When does the 3rd come out?
I'll be honest, it's kind of the love triangle of Twilight meets the political corruption of the Uglies.
Can't wait for the third one!
