Keepin' Warm With Cool Experiences

I don't think that there has ever been a time in my life when I was more excited for school. I'm being so serious right now. I L-O-V-E being busy with homework, and quizzes, and papers and upcoming exams. And right now, I am totally taking classes that only apply to my major (because I've been in school forever and that's all I have left) and there's nothing better than spending time studying what you love.
I quit my job waitressing due to lack of hours and not really a lot of time anyway. Scott is working full time as a screenprint salesman right now (PLUG: If you know any businesses that would like T-shirts/Polo's/Beanies/Anything fabric printed or embroidered, we know a great place) so I'm trying to focus on school and maybe get a small part-time job that's consistent.
Also, the girl who was cast to play Lady Macduff quit Macbeth so this gentlewoman gets to replace her! I'm pretty excited/nervous to die onstage but I figure with enough rehearsal the scene will be slammin. Scott is also in Macbeth as he got recruited for his potential sword-fighting skills. He's super nervous and a little intimidated but I think he's catching on nicely. It's so fun to have him at rehearsal's with me! What a great time we get to have together, even if it's only this once. I like that Scott is able to be a part of something that I love so dearly. I'm trying to be understanding of his weariness, though. I tried to imagine myself suddenly at basketball practice with a bunch of talent and I almost threw up. My husband is one of the bravest people I know.
On a different note, Scott and I have recently had some really stellar missionary opportunites. Living in a family ward, we have real, live Elder's. They like to come over on P-Days and play Risk and eat all the junk food I force upon them. In addition, we have been going with them to teach a lady who lives not too far from us. We drive her and her family to church when they can go, and she just accepted an invitation to be baptized in February! We also are going to a less-active family's house weekly to read the scriptures with them and I just adore them and all their cuteness. How I love the uniting effect of the gospel!

Oh yeah- it's still freezing here.

  1. Scott's place should do the shirts for the upcoming British Literary Tour! It'll be an order of like 45 shirts! Probably won't be needed until the end of the semester. I'll talk to the directors and get back to you. :)

  2. Even though it is temporary and they aren't really using people all the time....They are hiring for the Census this year all over...so you could apply for that online...their pay varies, but here in Logan it is like 11.50 and hour and about 20 to 40 hours a week when they are using you.

  3. We already have jobs with the census for this year- they just don't know when they will use us. thanks though!
Annie that sounds great! They usually do really big orders, but 45 might be enough. I'll ask Scott. Tell the directors they would get free shipping too!
