1. Get straight A's
ReplyDelete---I've always believed you possible of this. You don't lack the brains, just the focus! Try keeping a planner handy so you don't forget anything make a goal to write in it at least twice a day - look at it in the morning and then at night before you go to bed (I started this and it helped me so much, I also ended up looking at it a lot throughout the day). Good Luck you can do it!!
2. Make curry from my curry cookbook
---You+Curry, Carrie+Pie = Dinner with Erin and Jacob? PS Do you eat your curry with your hands and Naan or utensils?
3. Keep a regular "spiritual journal"
---See comment on Carrie's Goals.
4. Go on a backpacking trip
---In WA?
5. ...
---You cheated this doesn't count! I expect to see another real goal! :)
7. Run a 5K
---With Carrie?
10. Master a new accent
---Flemish?
11. Help someone in need with grocaries/meals
---Nothing like doing this secretly. We try to do it a week or two before thanksgiving. I think we receive more from it than those we serve.
12. Build a GIANT domino thing
---I volunteer my couch cushions to aid you in this cause. Unless you mean Giant as in many dominos rather than Large in physical size... can't help ya there
13. Memorize five new scales on the guitar
14. Join a band
---Call it "The Rubber" Band?
15. Learn how to make gumbo
---Scott+Curry+Gumbo+Carrie+Pie=Please have us over for dinner?
16. Read How to Win Friends and Influence People
---I've heard good things
17. Have all you can eat steak
---Where at?
18. Graduate with an Associate's Degree
---You have no idea how good it feels to finally have that little paper signifying that you own those credits and no one can take them away.
20. Have a solid savings
---Have you ever heard of Emigrant Direct? It's an online savings account. It has a higher interest rate than normal back savings accounts and it has more liquidity than a CD. I think that Etrade's interest rate may be higher, but I know ING's tends to be a bit lower. Check it out. We have $25 automatically withdrawn into our savings every month (so we are in the habit of saving, even just a little). We also take out our full student subsidized and put them directly in there to collect interest for us while we live off of it. We keep a small amount of $ in our checking account, the more that's in our savings the more money we make.
21. Vocally disagree with a college professor
---Mention the word "Democrat" that ought to help
22. Feel emotionally prepared to have a baby
---Good luck with that. Best way to prepare for that is to get pregnant (I mean Carrie getting pregnant), at least it was for me. I'm not quite sure how you emotionally prepare for that. When a baby is born so is a parent, if that makes sense. You evolve just as the baby does. You guys will make great parents whenever your ready.
23. Play Risk with Carrie
---And Jacob and Erin after dinner?
**I like receiving long comments, I hope you do to, if not pleas accept my most profound apologies for caring enough to leave them. ;o) Missed you guys this past weekend. Please let us know the next time you are in town so we can get together even for 5 minutes at a gas station or something. I miss you guys. Lots of love your way.
